Time Out Market Lisbon, the original Time Out Market, welcomes back guests 1 June, 2021 at Av 24 de Julho. It all began in 2014 with Time Out Market Lisbon introducing the world's first food and cultural market based on editorial curation - the best of the city under one roof. Quickly becoming the food and cultural hub of Lisbon. THE destination for residents and visitors alike to experience and celebrate local culinary heroes, innovative drinks and cultural talent that captures the soul of the city. Time Out Market Lisbon will reopen with many of its original line up of award-winning chefs and restaurants since its debut in 2014. However, expect to see a few new surprises to discover.
Nothing short of extraordinary, guests will have over 25 restaurants, six kiosks, seven bars, four shops, cooking school (Academia Time Out), coworking space (Second Home) and an events room (Estúdio Time Out).
A new sweet addition to the Market will be Crush Doughnuts. A local favorite and a sister-brand to Ground Burger. A new cocktail kiosk, called TO Bar will serve up innovative and famed signature concoctions such as the caipirinha, mojito, Lisbon sour and negroni to name a few. Along with the classic dishes that have long made the Market famous, the chefs and restaurants are introducing new items to come back and explore:
- Linguini with carabineiros (scarlet prawns) at Marisqueira Azul
- Lobster Burger at Ground Burger
- Sushi taco at Confraria
- New cheeses at Manteigaria Silva
- Vegetarian dishes from chef Miguel Castro e Silva
- New summer ice cream flavours at Davvero
In celebration of Lisbon’s traditional June festivals – Time Out Market Lisbon will host several new events, all free of charge. Though capacity will be limited following local government regulations:

Ana Alcobia, director-general of Time Out Market Lisbon, says: “We launched Time Out Market Lisbon in May 2014 and it grew to become one of the most popular attractions in the city - with over 4M visitors a year in 2019. We are so excited to reopen again and celebrate the best of the city. Our customers can once again be immersed in this amazing experience, curated by Time Out’s editorial local experts. We have safety measures in place for our guests, restaurants and employees, but more than ever we have not compromised on the fun atmosphere that makes Time Out Market the "must go" destination of Lisbon. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back!”
To promote contactless payment, all payments will continue to be made by card only (credit, debit and MB Way are accepted). For those with cash, chargeable cards may be purchased at Time Out Shop for use at restaurant kiosks.
