Time Out, the global media and entertainment brand that inspires people to make the most of the city, today announces the launch of its first Time Out Madrid magazine.
The monthly free print magazine will hit the streets from April 4, with a circulation of 80,000 copies. It will be available at more than 400 popular local venues such as restaurants, bars, theatres, hotels and cultural institutions across the city. In addition, Time Out branded street teams will hand out the magazine directly to consumers in more than 30 places across Madrid.
Time Out Madrid will be packed with unique content about the best things to do in the city from food, drink, art, culture, travel and entertainment, curated by professional Time Out journalists. The new magazine complements Time Out’s digital presence in the city at timeout.es/madrid, its social media channels and Live Events.
Time Out launches the new magazine to help locals and visitors experience the best of Madrid. It will also help further grow the brand’s reach and engagement, and offer advertisers new creative opportunities to connect - locally, nationally, and globally - with Time Out’s unique audience.
Time Out is present in 108 cities across 39 countries and has a global monthly audience reach of 217 million. Time Out launched in Spain in 2008 in Barcelona and has been constantly growing ever since; Time Out Madrid followed in 2014 and Time Out Girona in 2016. In each city, Time Out has established leading online, mobile and social channels, a Live Events programme and in Barcelona and now Madrid, there are highly-curated, free magazines.
Marta Bac, Editor of Time Out Madrid, commented: “Time Out is dedicated to discovering and championing the best of the city and we are incredibly excited to launch our first Time Out Madrid magazine, bringing our unique voice and insider knowledge to life in print for the very first time in this exciting city.
“Time Out Madrid will bring together the best of what’s happening in the city - art, music, cinema, gastronomy, theatre and more to inspire and enable people to make the most of Madrid. We hope locals and visitors will use our first issue as a trusted guide to come back to over and over again as we share the best events to check out, talented locals to know, favourite restaurants and bars to visit and more.”
Julio Bruno, CEO of Time Out Group plc, added: “We’re very proud to launch our first Time Out magazine in Madrid, one of the most exciting cities in Europe for its culture, art, cuisine and nightlife. The magazine will complement our successful digital and social media presence, showcasing the uniqueness of this city.
“I lived in Madrid for many years and I still visit frequently – it is a city I love and I am personally excited to champion Madrid on the global stage. ‘De Madrid al cielo’.”
