At the age of 36, now incredibly influential French chef Joël Robuchon opened Jamin – a Paris restaurant that went on to receive its first Michelin star just months after opening and then another two stars during the following two years, marking the quickest ascent to three-star status in Michelin history. In 1994, Robuchon expanded to Tokyo, offering fine French cuisine in a building styled after an 18th-century French chateau, at this ‘Chateau Restaurant’ located on the second floor of Yebisu Garden Place.
