Ginza's Shiseido building isn't the first place you'd look for a fancy cocktail bar, but this spot sure is worth a visit: divided up into a more casual counter and a full-on lounge, Bar S serves a simplified menu from the Shiseido Parlour downstairs, arranged to match the style of the bar. Potentially a wise pick for closing out an exhausting day of shopping.
Save some cash and visit during the bar’s extensive daily happy hour from 3pm to 7pm, when there’s a special menu of beer, wine (including champagne), spirits and cocktails for ¥1,000, plus bar snacks for only ¥800 each. It’s a great opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of a chic Ginza bar, and all without worrying about your bank account.
Just note that the bar charges an entry fee (¥1,000 per person) during happy hour, too, whether you're seated at the counter or lounge.
