Luck in business, long life, safe childbirth, endless smiles – just in time for the new year, all things happy and fortuitous are in focus at the Yamatane Museum's 50th anniversary exhibit. Centred around the paintings of mid-Edo era master Ito Jakuchu (1716-1800) and nihonga innovator Taikan Yokoyama (1868-1958), the display takes up lucky themes from the Seven Gods of Fortune to the sacred Mt Fuji, and is certain to get your spirits up for 2016. Consider showing up in kimono – there's a special discount for anyone who does.
