Forty-five years since it launched, Swiss Indoors Basel is Switzerland's largest sporting event and one of the world's most important indoor tennis tournaments. It was promoted to the second highest tier of Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournaments, the ATP World Tour 500 series, in 2009, and now has prize money of over two million euros. Played on a hard court, it has previously welcomed such prestigious players as Björn Borg, Stefan Edberg and John McEnroe. Already excited? Prepare to become more so: in what the tournament has described as the best line-up of all time, confirmed to play this year are 11 tennis stars from the top 15 in the world. Among them are Swiss giants Roger Federer (playing for a seventh win of the title) and Stan Wawrinka, who is looking stronger than ever, as well as Rafael Nadal, Milos Raonic and Kei Nishikori. Obviously we're not biased, but here are some dates for your diary: Federer is set to start on the Tuesday, and "Stan the Man" on the Wednesday.
