Affectionately known by locals as "the chicken place", Auberge de Dully's speciality since 1964 has been roast chicken. Nowadays, this is still the highlight of the guesthouse's limited menu - which is delicious, but not ideal for vegetarians (expect dishes with chicken or lamb). Of course, you could just go for the house dessert: delicate custard tart made to the same recipe for more than 50 years. Located between Lausanne and Geneva above the shores of the lake, the guesthouse occupies a picturesque setting. Inside, it's all wood-and-stone fittings, while the veranda overlooks Château de Dully's kitchen garden. Incidentally, the castle's famous wine features on Dully's wine list. Reservation is recommended.
