KKL Luzern

This ultra-modern arts centre sits right on the waterfront and offers a glamorous, world-class setting for visiting orchestras and singers performing in its showpiece concert hall. The 1,898-seat venue regularly hosts the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and plays a big part in the thrice-yearly Lucerne Festival. The vast venue contains a number of other spaces including two halls designed to host private events and international conferences and several eating and drinking options. The rather swish, low-lit Seebar is a great spot for a cocktail and light bite with a lovely view of the mountain-ringed Lake Lucerne. Or choose from one of the KKL’s two restaurants – the casual World Café, which specialises in wok dishes and salads, or the gourmet Red restaurant, best for a posh pre-show dinner or a business lunch.
