Atlas Café

This comfortable, popular café is one of the outer Mission's best hangouts, with people lining up for fresh breakfast pastries in the morning and settling into just-roasted lattes for the afternoon and evening. A daily list of grilled sandwiches includes many vegetarian specialities, and there are also soups and salads. There's music (usually bluegrass or country) on Thursday evenings. On nice days, try for a sunny seat on the patio at the back (where dogs are allowed).
