Time Out says

The Jardin Atlantique is an oasis of green set high amongst the buildings above Montparnasse station, which has been offering Parisians a welcome breath of fresh air since 1994. Conceived by architects Brun & Péna as a sort of giant ship sitting on top of the station, one can almost imagine that the Tour Montparnasse is the chimney of a giant steam-liner and that the noise of the station beneath that of the ship coursing through the waves…

Between 7 and 18 metres above the roads beneath, the garden is accessed via the Rue du Commandant Mouchotte and Boulevard de Vaugirard by lift. The main entrance is behind the station in Place des Cinq Martyrs du Lycée Buffon.
