This Japanese giant opened its doors near Galeries Lafayette in 2009, yet you can still sometimes spot shoppers queuing up outside to get in. Its secret: fashionable clothes in comfy materials, a range of colours and plenty of basics, like cotton t-shirts and soft Mongolian cashmere jumpers. Aside from its cool ranges of chinos, polo shirts and casual jackets (fashionable enough for French electro star Yuksek to model for the brand), Uniqlo regularly teams up with guest designers to add an extra touch of pizzazz.
