Don your glad rags and get ready to party NYC style: with its loft-style lounge, large bay windows and a vast curved bar, Le Djoon wouldn’t look amiss in Manhattan. Trendy thirty-somethings pile in for House, Deep House, Soul and Motown nights, spliced by a string of international DJs fresh off the plane from Detroit, Chicago, Berlin, New York and London (think Louie Vega, Theo Parrish, Deetron, Tony Humphries, Culoe de Song and DJ Spinna). Djoon’s restaurant won’t win any Michelin stars, but it’s handy if you want to make a night of it. Dishes might include gooey poached eggs with grilled almonds and asparagus and an Asian take on steak-tartare with soya sauce, sesame and pine nuts, served with lashings of fries.
