Parisian music collectives like Otto10, Alter Paname, [BP] and Cracki are all fighting tooth-and-nail for use of this space. And it’s not hard to see why: Au Paris 80 is a 2000m2, mostly outdoor venue on the site of a former circus. Perfect for long summer days, the space has retained its tent and carnival flair with giant sandboxes, wacky furniture and decked-out walls, which all give party-goers plenty of reasons to make the trip out to Bobigny. And once here, they really let loose. Hell-bent on enjoying themselves, the dress code seems to be sequins or full fancy dress. One thing: make sure to show up on a night when a collective is organising an event, as otherwise you risk stumbling into a kitschy cabaret performance.
