For the first time ever in France, photography shrine the Jeu de Paume takes a look at the wide-ranging career of important Portuguese conceptual artist Helena Almeida. Tracing the journey from her early drawings and paintings to her contemporary work, which fluidly blends photography with her previous mediums, the exhibit is a fascinating study of Almeida’s experimental and deeply corporeal works – and a natural follow-up to the Tuileries venue’s recent shows on Cindy Sherman and Valérie Jouve.
