Of course, what is considered 'sexy' is subjective but the exceptional decor and luxurious amenities of some of NYC's most alluring hotels are pretty hard to contest. Plus, some of them really do aim to tick all your boxes and make your stay a saucy affair. Why not add some role-play into the mix? Meet your partner at the bar, pretend you don't know each other, and flirt the night away. Vacations are supposed to be exciting, right?

So, while you could indulge in the best Manhattan restaurants, explore the offbeat Brooklyn culture, or get lost in the untapped gem that is Queens, these extra-haute stays will have you questioning whether you'll make it out of bed, let alone the hotel.

February 2024 update: one of our favorite hotels is currently unavailable, so we've replaced it with a new incredible hotel we've found: the Casa Cipriani New York.

Sexiest NYC hotels

1. The Cloud One New York Downtown, by the Motel One Group

The Cloud One is a four-star hotel in New York City, only a mile away from Brooklyn Bridge. The dark interior oozes sex appeal and the dimly lit atmosphere just adds to the mysterious ambiance – the ideal place to meet someone for a date night before taking it up to the bedroom. If you're lucky enough, you may nab a room with a view of the city with floor-to-ceiling windows, the best backdrop for a night full of fun. All rooms come with air conditioning, in case it gets too hot and steamy, and are equipped with everything to make your stay comfortable (private bathroom, TV, toiletries). The hotel also prides itself on being sustainable and eco-conscious, so the planet is literally begging you to stay here.

Mood? Moody-sultry aesthetic.
Location perks? In the heart of Downtown.
Budget range? Very affordable for NYC.

2. The Muse New York

The Muse is a four-star boutique hotel located in Manhattan’s theater district. The chilled-out vibes of the New York hotel help to unwind its guests while the buzzing life of the city is only right outside. The rooms are contemporary with slight touches of glamour, the ultimate place to end the night after a date. There are various rooms available to book, from comfortable but modern guest rooms to specialty suites that offer apartment-style living and a king-sized bed you can stretch out on. There's a state-of-the-art fitness center and guests are able to arrange for in-room spa services. Massages are super sexy, so treat yourself and your partner to one for the ultimate stay.

3. Casa Cipriani New York

There are many sexy NYC hotels to choose from, but not many of them come with sweeping river views from your bed – and private balcony. The interiors are top-notch across the board, the restaurant serves up a range of cuisine and the bar will have you feeling in the mood in no time. Not that you'll notice any of this as you'll undoubtedly be too invested in the oasis that is your Premier River View Suite – yes, it's time to go big or go home. Literally. We couldn't recommend it more.

Mood? For private river views in your robe.
Location perks? Surprisingly on Wall Street, but with all the glamour of the Upper East Side.
Budget range? It's time to splash the cash here – and enjoy it.

Initially built in 1901 as a cooperage (where casks are made), this Williamsburg building has been preserved and transformed into the stylish 69-room Wythe Hotel situated on the waterfront. Its understated yet alluring charm emanates from the woodwork – the large rooms boast exposed brick, high pine ceilings, and beds custom-crafted from the building’s reclaimed wood. The feel is unique, candid and historic (yes, history can be sexy). Bar Blondeau, their bright and bustling rooftop bar, is known for its delectable (albeit pricy) cocktails, impressive views of the Manhattan skyline, and groups of hipsters waiting to be granted entry – the perfect place to enjoy a tipple in the knowledge that your comfy bed is just a short elevator ride away.

Location perks? Along the Brooklyn waterfront.
