Winter is quickly approaching and many restaurants, stores, venues and even the subway are facing possible closures once the snow hits. While trying to commute during a snowstorm is almost as fun as those rain-related annoyances we love so much, the city can be a remarkable sight afterwards, as these classic photos from the late 1800s onwards show. Let’s be honest—whether it’s in the snow, the rain, or even the fog, NYC always looks amazing.
