Nostalgia will pervade the boardwalk more than usual as the Coney Island History Project celebrates the ’hood’s past. You'll get to take a look inside the newly reopened Astroland Rocket Ship that originally debuted in 1963. You'll also get to meet actual astronauts, test your knowledge in a ’60s-era trivia contest, and hear live music from retro band the Rockinghams and DJ George Marchelos. The first 500 guests get free samples of two of history's best snacks: moon pies and Tang.
