Four days of art exhibits, lectures and workshops take over lower Manhattan during the New Museum–sponsored festival; Saturday's green street fest is the best bet for families. Outside the museum on the Bowery, kids will find eco-focused products, cooking demonstrations, rooftop gardening classes and bike tours. Children can also play in a version of the David Rockwell–designed Imagination Playground, make a smoothie on Cafe Habana's bicycle-powered blender and learn about the critters and plants that inhabit the cove of Brooklyn Bridge Park. All ages.
