It was in the long ago year of 1995 that we first launched Time Out New York, and if you look around you, you might notice that the city’s changed just a bit since then (apart from the rats on the subway, of course—they’re not going anywhere). In those two decades, neighborhoods have risen and fallen, fashions have come and gone, restaurants have opened and closed and opened again, but through it all has stood our city: loud, gritty and crazy but still beautiful, resilient and, most importantly, ours.
