The masters of avant-garde yet elegant style have opened a second salon in NYC. The Madison Avenue location, adorned in classic 1970s-Parisian style, offers the same caliber of talented staffers as the original Plaza Hotel headquarters, including expert colorist Joel Warren and Edward “Scissorhands” Tricomi, the king of perfectly shaped dry haircuts executed with a tinge of rock & roll artfulness. Prices are fit for those who indulge in a certain kind of pampered lifestyle, with cuts running from $151 to $400 for both men and women, single-color processes going for $116 to $300, and highlights fetching $200 to $376. The investment is well worth it; like all fine art, Tricomi’s glamorous cuts age well, “evolving” rather than simply growing out.
