The owners of the Capital Grille steakhouse may have waited a while before opening in New York, but when they did it was in a perfect location: the grand, glass-ceilinged base of the Chrysler Center on 42nd Street. It’s a big deal, so to speak: 12,730 square feet, 10,000 bottles of wine, seating for 225 and, of course, an endless parade of fat, juicy, dry-aged steaks. A second branch has enough space to seat 355 diners, and the third, in the Financial District, expands the chain to downtown.
