The menu at this superb noodle house features dishes—along with detailed explanations of their origins—from all over Asia. “Silver needles” were a satisfying $10 plate of panfried noodles with a confetti of shredded pork, chicken, baby shrimp, bean sprouts, egg, and slivers of carrot and onion. One more dollar got us a seemingly bottomless bowl of tum yum soup, the spicy broth stocked with seafood, noodles and assorted vegetables. The space inspires sensory overload—blue bulbs fill the bathrooms, orange lights illuminate a brick wall—but it’s a small price to pay for inexpensive food this good.
