Time Out says

There’s a reason why Dinosaur Bar-B-Que is perpetually packed with neighborhood families, leather-clad bikers and everyone in between: The smokehouse regularly appears on lists of the city’s best barbecue. Even though you’re here from the meat, you still might want to start the meal with some fried green tomatoes (three pieces for $6.99, five pieces for $8.99) or Creole deviled eggs (three pieces for $3.99, six pieces for $6.99). For your main course, choose plates piled high with St. Louis–style pork ribs (a half rack for $18.99, full rack for $28.99), slow-smoked brisket with pickled jalapenos ($18.99) or skirt steak with chimichurri and sauteed peppers ($20.99). All the plates come with sides, so you’ll have to take your pick from options such as barbecue beans, Creole potato salad, simmered greens, crispy coleslaw and mac and cheese. Diners who aren’t quite so hungry might go for one of the burgers or barbecue sandwiches. Wash the meal down with one of the 25 beers on tap.
