After traversing the flavors of the France-Italy border at Rucola, Joe Pasqualetto turns his sights to the country’s western divide at this 89-seat French-Catalonian outfit, built to resemble a country inn (stained-glass panels, plastered walls, a barnwood ceiling). Small plates include baby broccoli tossed with roasted shallots and Catalan romesco, and marble potatoes slick with salsa verde, while main courses range from ridged rigatoncini with salt cod and toasted garlic to duck breast with glazed pearl onions and salsify. A dark walnut bar features a 150-bottle selection focused on regional varietals, along with aperitifs, cocktails (an armagnac Sazerac, a sherry-splashed daiquiri) and natural Spanish cider on-tap.
