The second single off of the Gen X stalwarts's new self-titled album might be named "Do You Wanna Get High?" but according to Rivers Cuomo, there's "nothing fun or funny" about the tune. Why? it's about both his ex and an ugly, uncomfortable life of addiction. That combination of ostensibly carefree vibes and undertones of yearning melancholy recalls "Island In the Sun"—or in other words, the guys seem to be in peak form. Catch the release party at Warsaw or purchase the record two days later at Rough Trade for entry to a more intimate performance.
