The versatile art-rock composer has been busy since departing from his innovative math-rock crew, Battles: He’s constructed a multimedia piece, Hive, with Danish architect Uffe Surland Van Tams; composed for the Kronos Quartet; and contributed production to the latest album by Dirty Projectors. Here, as he closes out Issue Project Room’s 2017 season, we expect some selections from his latest release, the jittery, spastic Oranged Out EP, which mines glitch and drone sounds alike to paint an alien sonic landscape.
