Thousands of hip-hop enthusiasts packed MetLife Stadium on Sunday for the 21st annual Hot 97 Summer Jam. Up-and-comers Childish Gambino and Iggy Azalea entertained early-arriving festivalgoers outside the stadium, before the heavy hitters took the main stage in the evening. The bill's list of official acts included Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent, Nas, Wiz Khalifa, Trey Songz and the Roots, though they brought with them a full entourage’s worth of guest stars: Drake, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, T.I., French Montana, Meek Mill and the G-Unit. The relentless energy onstage, combined with perfect early June weather, had the boisterous crowd on their feet dancing till the lights went out.
