For this season of Licoln Center's intimate American Songbook series, the ever-compelling Annie Clark plays stripped down piano-and-voice renditions of tunes from her most recent album, MassEducation, accompanied by pianist Thomas Bartlett. According to a mock press conference Clark conducted over Facebook Live at the time of the 2017 release, love is "literally the only point" of the album (trust that it contains all the dizzying highs and devastating lows that that entails). Considering her ability to captivate a stadium stage with ease, you're in for a real barn burner at this small-scale setting.
