Metric + Half Moon Run

Metric has been very, very busy since the 2009 release of Juno Award–winning Fantasies, and this week brings another milestone for the Canadian-American band: a headlining gig at Radio City Music Hall in support of its newest and fifth album, issued in June. “[Synthetica] feels like the record that people will actually hear,” says frontwoman Emily Haines; the album is a call to action that considers the role of music in sociopolitical commentary over tight, catchy synths.
