CBGB Music & Film Festival

All movie tickets are $10; music prices vary. Toast to the former music landmark at this weeklong series of gigs, flicks and talks taking place at 22 different venues. Check out an evening listening party with DJ Dirty South Wed 8 and a keynote speech from CBGB veteran and punk rocker Billy Idol at Center 548 on Oct 9. Idol will play a short acoustic set after his talk, followed by Brooklyn newcomers the Skins, with band members as young as 15 rocking out. Raspy-voiced Macy Gray will take the stage Oct 10, and on Oct 11, watch the world premiere ofindie-music drama Like Sunday, Like Rain at Anthology Film Archives, starring Leighton Meester, Debra Messing and Billie Joe Armstrong.
