Opened in the old Tap & Grill space in Rockaway Beach, Playland Motel melds an beach-bar vibe and new-school hipsterism. The pleasingly ramshackle front-room serves strong drinks and food options which range from the expected burgers and pizza to various salads and "Pennsylvania pig-butt tacos." Name-brand DJs occasionally rock their beats in the massive back yard (and within the venue itself)—and if you party too hard, boutique rooms are available.
