Sholay Productions, the company behind the popular Desilicious dance parties, was formed by friends Ashu Rai, Atif Toor and Rajesh Parwatkar in the months following 9/11 to offer a safe party space for LGBT South Asians. On Apr 25, they celebrate 13 years of Bollywood-inspired fun with Toor and Rai on the decks, performances by Rajiv Purohit's Haveli Dancers, the go-go stylings of model and activist Shazad Hai, and much more. Part of the proceeds goes to the South Asian Lesbian and Gay Association of New York City.
