AVAN LAVA at Music Hall of Williamsburg (slide show)

The crowd at the recent sold-out show at Music Hall of Williamsburg might have largely been there to see headliner Little Boots, but there's no doubt that the local indie-pop-dance ensemble AVAN LAVA walked away with plenty of new converts. The band's live shows have been known to incorporate everything from confetti cannons to crowd surfing—in a rubber raft (so more like crowd rafting?). The spectacle should not be missed—so be sure to catch these kids when they play at Webster Hall and Bowery Ballroom later this summer.
