8th Annual Taste of LIC

Get your fill as 50 Long Island City restaurants band together for a communitywide culinary fund-raiser, featuring neighborhood staples like Casa Enrique, Pachanga Patterson and Sweetleaf. The local vendors will offer bites and booze, such as harissa buffalo wings from Alewife, foie gras bread pudding from M. Wells Dinette and vino from Atlantic Wine & Spirits. New York City Council member Jimmy Van Bramer is serving as master of ceremonies, and Queens Borough President Helen M. Marshall will hail LIC with a toast to community patrons. Local businesses will donate raffle prizes, and proceeds will benefit the Chocolate Factory’s 2013–14 season of dance, theater, music and multimedia performances.
