Black & Light Ball 8 (slide show)

This year’s edition of the annual Black & Light Ball, hosted by the Disorient and Kostume Kult crews on Saturday, June 1, was a bit of a departure from past editions—it was an early starting affair, with the first part of the shindig taking place on a Brooklyn rooftop with a gorgeous view of money-takin’ Manhattan. (Thusly, it was the sun itself that provided the event's ultraviolet energy.) But other than that, this installment of the shindig—the eighth overall—stayed the Burning Man–tinged course, brimming with boom-boom beats, tons of happy party people, and (of course) plenty of fluorescent fun.
