Spring hasn't truly sprung until the Macy's Flower Show opens in midtown.
This beautiful (and free!) show at Macy's Herald Square is beloved by locals and visitors. It joins the New York Botanical Garden's Orchid Show and Central Park's cherry blossoms as must-visits for springtime floral fans.
Though it's not quite warm enough yet to head out to the city's rooftop bars or sunbathe in NYC parks, the Macy's show is a sure sign of spring. Nothing beats roaming the sweet-smelling foliage that suddenly appears at one of the city's best department stores.
