Choreographer Vicky Shick revisits her Pathétique, Miniatures in Details, as part of the Harkness Dance Festival. The dancers—Shick, Olsi Gjeci, Omagbitse Omagbemi, Marilyn Maywald and Lily Gold in a new prologue—cultivate a private, intimate world and wear costumes by Barbara Kilpatrick that create sound as they move. In accordance with the festival's "stripped/dressed" format, designed by curator Doug Varone, the first act will feature an exaggerated version of the dance to reveal aspects of the piece that might otherwise go unnoticed.
