We were stoked to present our Women of Comedy 2014 show last night, featuring some of the flat-out
funniest women in NYC as a part of the
New York Comedy Festival, and we're happy to report that the crowd at Le Poisson Rouge laughed itself silly. Our favorite moments included
Late Night with Seth Meyers writer Michelle Wolf berating herself for accidentally dressing the same as she did on the magazine cover, Sara Schaefer (
Nikki & Sara Live, John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show) gloriously acted out the reality behind sexual rap lyrics like "pumping p***y like gas," Bonnie McFarlane's (
Last Comic Standing) expert audience-bullying (honestly, we loved it) and Emmy Blotnick (
Best Week Ever, Nikki & Sara Live), discovers people can shit for a cause. We even learned about the difficulties of being a cat-lady, even though Liz Miele (
Late Night with Conan O'Brien) only has one cat, everyone in her life just assumes she has twenty. To top all of that, Chloe Hilliard (
Last Comic Standing) shared her grandmother’s secret tips for attracting men like learning to bake and picking cotton. In short? A triumph. We expect nothing less of you, Gotham.
