Oh! You Pretty Things: David Bowie & Elvis Presley Birthday Bash (slide show)

If you think about it, Elvis Presley and David Bowie have quite a bit in common. They’re both pretty hot. They’re both music pioneers (though plunderers might be the better term, especially in Elvis’s case). They both wore makeup—well, Elvis allegedly wore eyeliner, but we pretty much believe it. And they were both born on January 8th. Coincidence? Well, maybe—but you haven’t seen both of them in the same room since Elvis’s “death,” have you? We thought not! Whatever the case, that joint birthday is a good enough excuse for the glam-obsessed Oh! You Pretty Things crew to have tossed a bash in honor of the two icons at Le Poisson Rouge on Sunday 30, with Michael T & the Vanities, Screamin’ Rebel Angels, This Ambitious Orchestra and a host of others paying tribute.
