This is now Jus-Ed’s third mix for Time Out NY…or is it the fourth? No matter—either way, it’s a record. And just why do we keep featuring sets from Bridgeport, Connecticut’s master of deep-house grooves? It’s because he’s one of our favorite DJs and producers, that’s why: His music (like that of his peers on the Underground Quality label) is as emotive, subtly soulful and just plain gorgeous as any out there. This particular mix is a beauty, with plenty of stone-cold classics—Lil’ Louis’s “Club Lonely” and Satoshi Tomiie’s breathtaking “Tears” among them—sprinkled like gold dust throughout the mix. If you like what you hear in this exclusive set, we’d advise you to hit up the next edition of the Club House—the shindig Ed helms alongside the Deconstruct label’s Anthony Parasole—at National Underground on Friday, March 30th.
