Grzegorz Demiañczuk and Wojciech Tarañczuk, the Polish DJ and production duo formerly known as 3 Channels and currently plying their four-to-the-floor trade as Catz 'n Dogz, have played pretty much every underground-house club in the world. London’s Fabric, Berlin’s Panorama Bar and Watergate, Amsterdam’s Studio 80 and, er, the Morgan in Bushwick have all played host to the pair. And there’s little wonder why—the pair know how to lay down deep and jacking beats in fine style. They’re also great producers, with hotness-heavy tracks out on such esteemed labels as Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird, Steve Bug's Poker Flat, Damian Lazarus's Crosstown Rebels and the almightly Get Physical. It’s Get Physical that’s releasing the latest Catz 'n Dogz opus, the Body Language 12 mix-CD, and the pair will be celebrating the album’s imminent release when they join Aeroplane at Highline Ballroom when the venue is taken over by the fine folks at Fixed and Verboten on Friday, October 5. Until then, here’s a great, expertly constructed mix from Demiañczuk and Tarañczuk, a thoroughly modern set that manages to include plenty of nods to the past (we think we hear a bit of Todd Terry and Nu Groove in there somewhere).
