Transient Canvas + Taka Kigawa

The Firehouse Space's contemporary-classical series, curated by Iktus Percussion, is a great value tonight. The double-header bill kicks off with clarinet and percussion duo Transient Canvas playing works by a group of young composers. Pianist Taka Kigawa, an expert in the music of Pierre Boulez, finishes the set with his flawless performance of the avant-garde composer's bruising Second Piano Sonata.
