No Hotel

An experimental opera-action collectively conceived by Object Collection writer-director Kara Feely, composer Travis Just, videographer Daniel Kötter and set designer–costumer Elisa Limberg, No Hotel is a giddy, noisy homage to hotel films, especially Andy Warhol’s Chelsea Girls, whose split-screen structure is evoked with a pre-produced film running alongside the live performance here. It’s violent and chaotic, but also full of playfulness.
