Matmos Plays Robert Ashley's Perfect Lives

The entirely original oeuvre of the late, dearly missed Ashley continues seducing a new generation of interpreters. Tonight, indie electronic duo Matmos debuts its interpretation of scenes from the Ashley masterwork Perfect Lives. Nominally concerned with the explication of a mysterious bank robbery in the Midwest, the piece is actually a playful meditation on bigger philosophical themes (like the prospect of finding love, late in life, at the supermarket).
