It may be hard to believe with New York’s current frozen rivers (and fountains) and overall record-breaking low temperatures, but winter is finally nearing an end. We're gonna get through this after all, everybody.
One of New York’s most popular ice rinks, The Rink at Bryant Park, is set to close in just three days! That’s right, you only have until Sunday at 10pm to head over to the midtown rink for skating, lessons, rink-side treats and more. Celsius, the glass-enclosed, two-story restaurant and bar venue next to the rink, will be shutting down for the season after Friday night.
The rink is going out with a bang, too. Or at least a grilled cheese. On Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, the Kid’s Food Festival will take over the Upper Terrace at the park and feature free performance, cooking demos and tastings.
On Sunday, the ice skating rink will be open late with hours from 1pm to 10pm. After that, you’ll have to hang up those skates till next year. Or, take advantage of the current open skating at the Central Park Conservatory water in Central Park.
