When 2015 hip-hop champ—it's only April, but yeah, we're gonna go ahead and declare that a done deal—Kendrick Lamar turned up for a signing at Rough Trade NYC a couple weeks back, we knew it was only a matter of time before he announced a proper local gig. And while we were really hoping for, say, a Barclays Center date, the news that Lamar will be headlining the 2015 edition of Hot 97's iconic Summer Jam in June is a damn good start.
