At the height of summer, it may feel like whatever subway station you’re in at the moment is the hottest station in the city, but that’s not actually the case, drama queen. In fact, station temperatures can vary dramatically, a fact WNYC discovered last night when they sent a team out to survey temperatures across the subway system.
After surveying a whopping 103 stations on the hottest day of the year, Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall came out on top with a sweltering temperature of 106 degrees. The coolest station? 5th Avenue-59th St at a very reasonable 68 degrees.
