The Salvation Taco team may start flipping burgers at the Pod 51 hotel

Rumor has it that the Spotted Pig duo April Bloomfield and Ken Friedman will be launching a burger joint inside the Pod 51 hotel this summer. The pair also runs Salvation Taco at sibling hotel Pod 39, so the partnership make sense. Plus, this is great news for fans of Bloomfield's chargrilled half-pound patty at the Spotted Pig and her feta-topped lamb round once served at the Breslin—now there's a chance you'll be able to gorge on those top-notch burgers (or ones like them) year-round. Currently, the Pod 51 hotel is home to another patty shop, Pop @ Pod, and it's unclear whether Bloomfield and Friedman's new venture will replace or join it. Check back for more details soon.
