The L train to continue sucking for the next few weekends

No, it's not just a nightmare, friends. The L train is actually (Really! Seriously!) going AWOL for four weekends with no service between 8th and Bedford Avenues until May 18th. That's right. Starting this weekend the L Train spews an active "sorry not sorry" to all borough-to-borough commuters.

For those L-trainers who still want to experience the world in spite of the wackness of the MTA, our lovable transport system was nice enough to give a few alternatives to travel, like taking the A and E trains at 8th avenue to make your way back into Brooklyn.

The MTA may be wack, per usual, but luckily other transport services are taking some of the slack. Uber's Uberpool is offering $5 flat rates between Manhattan and Williamsburg until the L train gets it together, and Smorgasburg vendors Big Mozz just announced a new shuttle service to East River Side Park each weekend for the foodie bizarre, Gothamist reports.

But hey, at least weekends in Williamsburg are about to be a lot less crowded!
