By now you have heard the news about last night’s CBS broadcast of the 70th annual Tony Awards: As was universally expected Hamilton swept the night (11 awards), but didn’t hit the coveted 13-win mark, which would truly have made history. So what is left for those still shaking with Tony fever? Enjoy the night’s best videos!
Host James Corden showed off his song-and-dance chops in a whirlwind opening number that managed to be both irreverent and utterly sweet. Sure, it was a cartoonish, Middle America version of what live theater means, but hey, that’s the Tony Awards:

Among the best performances from shows still running was the red-hot excerpt from The Color Purple, where we go to see Heather Headley blow the roof off:
Fiddler on the Roof really filled the Beacon stage with ecstatic dance, even if we were disappointed not to have Danny Burstein deliver a bit of “If I Were a Rich Man”:
Hamilton surprised us by showing a portion of “Yorktown” and not “My Shot” or some other better known bit:
And representing Sara Bareilles’s Waitress, Jessie Mueller sang her beautiful heart out, perhaps causing a few Tony insiders to second-guess their vote for the elemental Cynthia Erivo:
